Visiting a Clinic

1st Care is pleased to service you and your pets with compassion when visiting our clinics. There are no appointments needed, you may simply show up during the hours posted. We do begin the check-in process 15 minutes prior to the posted start time of the clinic for those who arrive a bit early and you must be in line for check-in 15 minutes prior to the posted end time of the clinic so that everyone has the time to be seen. Some clinics can get very busy, your patience is appreciated. Arrive early to ensure prompter service. To ensure safety and efficiency at each vaccination and wellness clinic, we have the following guidelines:

1st Care Guidelines & Policies for Visiting a Clinic

  • Dogs must be on leashes or in carriers.
  • Cats must be in carriers.
  • You have owned your pet for at least a week prior to receiving any vaccines.
  • Bring any vaccine paperwork/ records you have for your pet. Feel free to call us ahead of your planned visit so we can discuss your pet’s individual needs.
  • If your pet requires a blood test please arrive within the first 30 minutes of the clinic.
  • All services and products are non-refundable.
  • 1st Care accepts credit cards, debit or cash only.
  • We are unable to provide past records on-site at a clinic, but you may call or stop by our office (Mon-Fri) to receive copies of your records from a previous visit to bring with you.
  • If you need a health (travel) certificate you must call the 1st Care office at least 3 days before you plan on visiting a clinic to sign-up, then arrive within the first 30 minutes of the clinic, and bring all documents required by your travel destination.
  • If your pet is not so friendly around lots of other animals or can get easily agitated, please call our office a couple days before your planned visit so we can do our best to accomodate you and make the visit a happy one for both you and your companion.

Important: 1st Care is not a pharmacy and DOES NOT allow prescriptions from veterinarians not associated with 1st Care to be filled!
