Why Choose 1st Care?

Why choose 1st Care?

We will never over-vaccinate.

At 1st Care, it is our mission to provide personalized care for your pet and to recommend treatment based on your pet’s own unique lifestyle and age. We follow the American Animal Hospital Association’s vaccine guidelines for all puppies and adult dogs, as well as the American Association of Feline Practitioners’ vaccine guidelines for all kittens and adult cats. AAHA and AAFP release guidelines based on the most current research and insight from professionals in the field, not the drug manufacturers. This means offering a 3-year duration on both DHPP and FVRCP, core vaccines that are often given as an annual elsewhere.

First Care only carries top quality vaccines that are on the market for dogs and cats.

Most of our dog vaccines are 100% Thimerosal-Free, which is a preservative often used in vaccinations that contains mercury. Our dog Rabies vaccine is one of only two on the market currently able to boast this. Our Canine Lyme vaccine is a recombinant vaccine which successfully immunizes without the use of adjuvants. Adjuvants are chemicals that are added to certain vaccinations used to boost the immune system. All of our cat vaccines are 100% adjuvant and Thimerosal-Free. This includes our Feline Leukemia and Feline Rabies vaccines, which are both the Purevax line. In cats, adjuvants used in vaccines cause chronic inflammation which in turn can increase their chance of developing vaccine-induced sarcomas. At 1st Care, we pay special attention to the products we use with your pets’ best interest in mind. By administering cleaner and safer vaccines, we reduce the chance of an adverse reaction, which ensures a healthier pet and a happier client.

All of our vaccinations, products and services are competitively priced for our customers.

While many of our competitors charge a premium for using cheaper, lower quality vaccines, 1st Care provides only the safest vaccines and services at a price you can afford.

We have no hidden fees.

1st Care does not charge tax to the customer. Instead, we pay this up front when purchasing the products. And we don’t tack on a waste disposal fee, which is common with our competitors. If you take your pet to one of our mobile clinics, you’ll also be saving yourself an office visit charge which would happen at a full service vet hospital (As a reminder, we don’t take the place of a yearly visit to your Veterinarian for a full physical).
